Arkas Line is set to enhance its temperature-controlled shipping services by introducing 500 new reefer containers. These additional units will be integrated into the carrier's operational fleet starting in June 2026.
The new reefer containers are intended to support Arkas Line's comprehensive service network. This network covers key regions including the Mediterranean, the Black Sea, West Africa, North Africa, the East Coast of the Americas, and India.
For freight forwarders and shippers, this expansion signifies increased capacity for transporting perishable and temperature-sensitive goods. The additional reefers could lead to improved availability for bookings on relevant trade lanes and potentially more competitive rates due to enhanced supply. Forwarders should monitor Arkas Line's service updates for specific deployment details and how this impacts their refrigerated cargo requirements on these routes.
