Lithuanian road transport company Girteka has established a new, dedicated maintenance workshop in Coesfeld, Germany. This facility is equipped to service up to ten truck-trailer combinations or twenty individual trucks simultaneously. The strategic investment is part of Girteka's broader effort to minimize vehicle downtime, gain better control over maintenance expenditures, and improve the overall availability of its large fleet.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signifies Girteka's commitment to operational efficiency and reliability. A well-maintained fleet translates to more consistent capacity and potentially better schedule adherence for road freight services across Europe. Reduced breakdowns and faster turnaround times for maintenance could mitigate disruptions in overland transport, offering greater predictability for shippers relying on Girteka's network.
