TMEIC has unveiled a new portable charging system, the E-Tanker, specifically developed to recharge battery-electric Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes. This solution is designed to provide electricity to these cranes in a manner similar to how terminals currently refuel diesel-powered equipment. The objective is to offer operational flexibility, allowing electric RTGs to be recharged on-demand within the terminal yard without needing to return to a fixed charging station.
