Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has signed a contract valued at $226 million (approximately KRW 307.4 billion) for the construction of two Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs). The order was placed by an unnamed shipowner based in Bermuda. This agreement was officially recorded in a regulatory filing with the Korean stock exchange on September 29, with the contract period extending through February 28.
