SAL Heavy Lift, in partnership with Wuhu Shipyard, has announced plans for the construction of five new heavy-lift vessels. This expansion aims to double their Orca-class fleet, bringing the total number of ships in this class to ten. Each of these new vessels will boast a substantial 14,600 DWT capacity and be equipped with cranes capable of lifting up to 1,600 tonnes. This significant investment is strategically targeted at enhancing SAL Heavy Lift's capabilities in key sectors, including offshore wind energy projects, the transport of intricate engineering modules, and general complex project cargo operations worldwide.
