The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC), in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Police Force and the National Maritime Coordination Centre, successfully concluded a four-day cluster meeting in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, from September 21 to 24, 2026. The gathering brought together key representatives from various Brunei agencies, including the Royal Brunei Police Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces, and the Maritime and Port Authority, to address critical issues concerning maritime security.
This meeting served as a vital platform for stakeholders to discuss strategies and share intelligence aimed at preventing and responding to incidents of piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asian waters. The focus was on fostering greater cooperation and coordination among regional maritime law enforcement agencies to ensure safer sea lanes.
