Odfjell, a leading owner and operator of deep-sea chemical tankers, has confirmed a follow-up order with bound4blue for the integration of eSAILs® on its 49,000 deadweight tonnage (dwt) chemical tanker, the Bow Optima. This installation is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027 in China. This decision comes after the successful implementation of bound4blue's suction sails on the Bow Optima's sister vessel, the Bow Olympus, in March 2025.
This repeat order underscores Odfjell's ongoing strategy to invest in sustainable technologies aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing the environmental footprint of its fleet.
