Nord Gas Solutions has been awarded a contract to deliver both the Cargo Handling System (CHS) and the LPG Fuel Supply System (LFSS) for a series of eight Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs). These vessels, each with a capacity of 90,000 cubic meters, were commissioned by BW LPG.
The new VLGCs are scheduled to be built at HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in South Korea. This project represents a significant milestone as it will be the first time this specific shipyard within the HD group constructs VLGCs. The contract was formally signed in August and publicly announced by Nord Gas on September 23.
