The International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the environmental organization Transport & Environment (T&E) have jointly called upon European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to convene a high-level strategic dialogue. Both organizations stress that a renewed political impetus is essential to overcome existing barriers and accelerate the adoption of zero-emission trucks, buses, and coaches.
