Germany's Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) carried out 1,617 roadside inspections on commercial vehicles throughout July. These extensive controls resulted in the collection of more than 150,000 euros in security deposits due to various infractions. Among the violations identified were 72 instances of non-compliance with cabotage regulations, 31 breaches related to mandatory weekly rest periods for drivers, and 25 technical deficiencies in vehicles.
