Dubai Customs' Air Cargo Centers Management reported a substantial increase in activity during the first half of 2026, processing 18.2 million transactions. This represents a 53% rise compared to the same period in the previous year. Concurrently, the total weight of shipments handled by air cargo facilities grew by almost 47%, reaching approximately 1.3 million tonnes. Additionally, the Free Zone Department managed over 6.2 million postal parcels, highlighting the diverse nature of cargo passing through Dubai.
This growth is attributed to Dubai Customs' ongoing efforts to enhance its inspection capabilities and integrate advanced smart technologies and artificial intelligence into its operations.
