This system, known as AdrenaShip, leverages sophisticated digital technologies to optimize vessel routes and analyze performance, thereby improving operational efficiency and contributing to the maritime industry's decarbonization goals.
The AdrenaShip concept was initially introduced in 2016 by Brittany Ferries and Adrena. At its inception, it was already delivering approximately 4% in fuel savings by focusing on route optimization and enhancing operational safety. The recent collaboration with Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore has further refined this technology, leading to the reported 6% savings.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development highlights a growing trend in the maritime sector towards leveraging digital tools for operational improvements.
