TAAG Cargo has officially inaugurated its first dedicated weekly freighter service, establishing a direct air link between Amsterdam and Lusaka, Zambia. The initial flight, operated by a Boeing 737-800 Freighter, transported 12.8 tonnes of cargo. This new route is designed to strengthen TAAG's cargo operations across Africa and facilitate increased regional trade.
This expansion is part of TAAG's strategy to enhance its North-South logistics corridor, providing more robust air cargo options. The airline has reported that subsequent flights are already experiencing higher booking volumes, indicating strong market demand for this new service.
