Suzun Marine Fuels has announced the expansion of its bunker supply fleet in Turkey with the addition of new Mercedes Benz trucks. These vehicles were integrated into service this month, reinforcing the company's capacity for truck-to-ship (TTS) bunkering operations.
This strategic move is part of Suzun's broader objective to become a prominent provider in the TTS bunkering sector. The new trucks will facilitate fuel deliveries to all major Turkish ports, encompassing the Mediterranean, Aegean, Marmara, and Black Sea coasts, with the sole exception of Trabzon.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this expansion signifies potentially improved flexibility and reliability in securing bunker fuels for vessels calling at Turkish ports. Increased local bunkering capacity via TTS methods could lead to more efficient port calls by reducing waiting times or diversions for fuel, thereby impacting vessel schedules and overall operational costs. This development supports the maritime supply chain by enhancing essential vessel services in a key transit region.
