Sunoco LP, through its wholly-owned entity Sunoco Marine Ltd, has announced a new commercial collaboration with Verde Marine Energy B.V. (VME). This strategic partnership aims to extend Sunoco's marine fuel supply services into the key bunker markets of the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region and the United Kingdom. The agreement combines Sunoco's established commercial network across North America and the Caribbean with Verde Marine Energy's operational capabilities in physical bunker supply within the European region.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signifies increased options for bunker fuel procurement in major European shipping hubs. A broader supplier base could potentially lead to more competitive pricing and improved reliability for vessels requiring refueling in the ARA and UK.
