Mammoth Freighters has successfully delivered its first Boeing 777-200LRMF converted freighter to Jetran, a lessor based in Texas. This specific aircraft, identified by MSN 32222, is scheduled to integrate into DHL's operational network in the United Kingdom. This delivery represents a significant milestone, as it is the initial aircraft from an order placed by Jetran for more than two dozen Mammoth 777-200LRMF freighters. Out of this total, thirteen units are designated to enter revenue service within DHL's extensive global network.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signifies a potential increase in dedicated air cargo capacity, particularly for DHL's network. The introduction of these converted 777-200LRMF freighters could enhance DHL's ability to handle larger volumes and potentially offer more direct or frequent services on key trade lanes. This additional capacity might lead to more stable air freight rates and improved schedule reliability for shippers utilizing DHL's services, especially for urgent or high-value cargo moving through the UK and broader DHL global routes.
