The Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) has officially launched its 24-hour commercial freight services, marking a significant expansion in air cargo capabilities for the region. The newly operational cargo precinct is designed to handle substantial volumes, with its first stage capable of simultaneously servicing eight large freighter aircraft (such as Boeing 747s or 777s) or sixteen smaller domestic freighters (like Boeing 737s or Airbus A320s).
This development provides a new gateway for air cargo into and out of Sydney, offering increased capacity and operational flexibility.
