Triumph has announced the release of a new digital platform specifically designed to manage freight Request for Proposals (RFPs). This tool is intended to replace outdated, manual spreadsheet-based methods, offering a more efficient and data-driven approach to procurement.
The development comes as the freight industry experiences a dramatic reduction in RFP cycle times. Historically, these cycles could span up to 18 months, but they have now compressed to as little as 30 days. This rapid acceleration necessitates more agile and responsive procurement solutions.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this new tool could significantly improve the speed and accuracy of their bidding processes. By centralizing data and automating aspects of RFP management, it may enable quicker responses to shipper requests, potentially leading to more successful bids and better resource allocation. The shift from manual processes to a data-backed system could also provide better insights into pricing and capacity, helping forwarders optimize their strategies in a fast-paced market.
