TAM Group has officially launched its dedicated Air Charter Division, aiming to provide flexible and responsive air cargo capacity solutions. This new division will cater to airlines, freight forwarders, and other logistics customers who require adaptable capacity, especially for urgent shipments or during periods of high demand.
The establishment of this division follows a successful incubation phase, during which TAM Group executed 30 charter operations across South America since 2024. This experience has positioned the company to meet the growing market demand for agile airfreight services.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development signifies an additional resource for securing ad-hoc or scheduled air cargo capacity. It offers a solution for managing unexpected surges in demand, handling oversized or specialized cargo, or mitigating disruptions in regular scheduled services. Access to dedicated charter options can help forwarders maintain supply chain fluidity and meet client deadlines, potentially impacting routing decisions and capacity allocation strategies, especially for South American lanes.
