Royal Air Maroc has commenced operations on four new routes connecting its Casablanca hub to European destinations: Bilbao, Alicante, Verona, and Lille. This expansion aims to bolster passenger connectivity across its network while simultaneously increasing belly cargo capacity.
The new services are predominantly operated by Boeing 737 aircraft, which provide up to three tonnes of cargo capacity per flight. This additional capacity is strategically designed to support regional import and export activities, including industrial goods, facilitating trade between Morocco and these European markets.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, this expansion signifies increased air cargo options for shipments between Morocco and the new European destinations. The added belly capacity on these routes could offer more flexibility and potentially competitive rates for smaller, time-sensitive cargo, particularly for regional exports from Morocco.
