ProCharter has initiated four new weekly air cargo corridors originating from Nairobi, significantly bolstering regional airfreight connectivity throughout East Africa. These newly established routes link Nairobi with key destinations including Mogadishu, Kismayo, Djibouti, and Juba. The primary objective of this expansion is to support both consolidation and full charter shipments, thereby enabling faster regional movement of various goods.
This network enhancement is specifically designed to improve the reliability and reduce transit times for critical cargo types such as e-commerce, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and other time-sensitive shipments. For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development means increased capacity and potentially more stable transit times for air cargo movements within East Africa. It offers new routing options and could lead to improved supply chain efficiency for clients with urgent or high-value goods destined for these specific markets. The introduction of dedicated corridors suggests a focus on streamlining customs and ground handling, which could further benefit forwarders by reducing delays and improving predictability.
