Port Polska has successfully acquired the necessary building permits for two Airport Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFF) stations at Poland's upcoming central airport. One station will be positioned adjacent to the northern runway, while the second will be located next to the southern runway. The design of both facilities prioritizes rapid response, enabling firefighters to reach incident sites in the shortest possible time following an emergency alarm.
For freight forwarders and logistics operations managers, the development of these essential safety facilities is a positive indicator for the new airport's future operational readiness. Enhanced ARFF capabilities contribute to overall airport safety and resilience, which is crucial for maintaining flight schedules and minimizing disruptions to air cargo movements. This infrastructure development suggests progress towards the airport becoming a fully functional hub, potentially offering new air cargo capacity and routing options in Central Europe once operational.
