Logistics real estate developer and investor Montea is set to build a new distribution center for BSH Home Appliances at the Logistic Park Glassworks in Tiel, Netherlands. The facility, designated as DC Quartz, will encompass a total area of 67,400 square meters, which includes dedicated truck parking infrastructure. BSH Home Appliances has committed to leasing 46,700 square meters of this complex for an initial period of ten years, with an option to extend the lease.
This development signifies a strategic investment in BSH's logistics network, aiming to streamline the distribution of home appliances within the region. For freight forwarders and logistics operations managers, this new facility indicates a potential consolidation of BSH's warehousing activities, which could lead to optimized inbound and outbound freight flows. It may also influence local trucking demand and route planning in the Tiel area, potentially increasing volumes for last-mile and regional distribution services.
