Monjasa has announced that its Panama-flagged bunkering vessel, the Monjasa Thunder, has successfully completed its first drydocking in the Bahamas and is now back in operation in the US Gulf. This scheduled maintenance program was executed in collaboration with Montec and encompassed significant work, including overhauls of both main and auxiliary engines, propeller blade maintenance, and a complete recoating and painting of the hull to align with Monjasa's fleet design standards.
Previously, the Monjasa Thunder was deployed in Panama in 2024, following its operations in West Africa. Its return to the US Gulf signifies Monjasa's continued commitment to serving this key maritime region.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, the return of the Monjasa Thunder ensures stable bunkering services in the US Gulf. This continuity is crucial for vessel scheduling and fuel procurement, minimizing potential disruptions related to fuel availability and pricing in a vital shipping corridor. Reliable bunkering operations contribute to overall schedule integrity for ocean freight.
