ID Logistics Germany has entered into a new logistics partnership with fashion chain C&A. Under this agreement, ID Logistics will be responsible for the movement of both hanging and flat-packed apparel between C&A's various distribution centers located within Germany. Additionally, the logistics provider will manage the supply chain for more than 100 C&A retail outlets across the Netherlands, operating from its logistics center in Tilburg.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this development indicates a strengthening of ID Logistics' position in the European retail logistics market. It highlights continued investment in dedicated contract logistics solutions, particularly for fashion and apparel, which often requires specialized handling for hanging garments. This type of contract typically involves stable volumes and predictable routing, offering a degree of certainty in a volatile market. It also underscores the importance of efficient cross-border road networks within the EU for retail supply chains.
