Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has announced a significant operational milestone for its Boeing 777-300ERSF passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion program, with the fleet surpassing 20,000 cumulative flight hours. This achievement comes less than a year after the first converted aircraft entered commercial service in September of the previous year.
To date, IAI has successfully converted and delivered eleven Boeing 777-300ERSF aircraft, which are now actively deployed by various air cargo operators across key regions including Europe, North America, and Asia. This rapid accumulation of flight hours underscores the reliability and demand for this specific wide-body freighter type.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, the expansion of the 777-300ERSF fleet signals a positive trend in global air cargo capacity. These large-capacity freighters offer increased payload and range, potentially stabilizing or even improving capacity on long-haul routes.
