Horizon Aircraft has entered into a Letter of Intent (LOI) with V-Star Powered Lift Aviation, an Australian company, for the acquisition of five Cavorite X7 hybrid-electric VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft. The agreement also includes options for an additional 95 aircraft, potentially bringing the total value of the deal to US$600 million.
V-Star Powered Lift Aviation plans to utilize these advanced aircraft for a range of critical missions within Australia, including aeromedical services, search and rescue operations, and regional passenger transport. The Cavorite X7's unique combination of VTOL capabilities and hybrid-electric propulsion is cited as a key factor in its suitability for these diverse applications.
