The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has commenced an integration pilot program designed to transition Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technologies from experimental demonstrations to practical, real-world operations. This extensive program spans 26 US states and involves eight industry partners, focusing on evaluating the interaction of next-generation aircraft with current aviation infrastructure, including airports, dedicated vertiports, and air traffic control systems.
The primary objective is to collect comprehensive operational data essential for developing a robust national regulatory framework for AAM.
