Embraer announced a record-setting order backlog of US$34.5 billion for the second quarter of 2026. This figure reflects a 7% increase compared to Q1 2026 and a substantial 16% rise year-on-year, continuing a trend of seven consecutive quarters of growth for the aerospace manufacturer.
The Commercial Aviation segment saw its backlog climb to US$15.1 billion, primarily fueled by new orders for its E195-E2 regional jets. Concurrently, the Defense & Security division experienced a significant surge, with its backlog expanding by 42% year-on-year to US$6.1 billion, largely due to a major contract for the C-390 Millennium aircraft.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals, this sustained growth in Embraer's order book, particularly in commercial aviation, suggests a healthy long-term outlook for regional air cargo capacity.
