DSV, a prominent freight forwarder, has inaugurated a new weekly scheduled freighter service. This new route connects Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) in the United States with Incheon International Airport (ICN) in South Korea. Flights are scheduled to depart from Chicago Rockford every Saturday.
This latest addition expands DSV's dedicated air cargo network, building on previous service launches. In November 2025, the company introduced a freighter service to Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), and in June, it commenced operations to Luxembourg Airport (LUX).
For freight forwarders and shippers, this new service provides additional direct air cargo capacity on the critical Trans-Pacific lane, specifically from the US Midwest to South Korea. This could offer more reliable transit times and potentially alleviate pressure on existing routes, providing an alternative to passenger belly cargo or more congested hubs. The consistent weekly schedule allows for better planning and inventory management, particularly for time-sensitive shipments.
