Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) has significantly enhanced its air cargo connectivity with Asia by introducing a new weekly freighter service to Incheon International Airport (ICN) in South Korea. This new route is operated by DSV, a global freight forwarder, and complements RFD's existing DSV services to Shanghai, China, and Luxembourg, Europe.
This expansion reinforces RFD's strategic role as a crucial cargo gateway facilitating trade between Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The airport is actively developing its infrastructure and network to attract more international cargo traffic. Furthermore, a new scheduled service to Chennai, India, is also in the pipeline, indicating further growth in its Asian connections.
