The operation involved the transportation of two substantial aircraft engines from Helsinki to Casablanca, destined for Royal Air Maroc. This critical shipment was successfully delivered within 24 hours of its availability for dispatch.
To facilitate this urgent movement, CharterDesk secured a Boeing 777F freighter aircraft. The logistics also involved obtaining necessary permits, arranging specialized handling at both origin and destination, and sourcing specific 20-foot main-deck pallets, which were acquired from Amsterdam to accommodate the oversized cargo.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this highlights the ongoing demand for expedited air cargo solutions, especially for critical spare parts like aircraft engines.
