Alaska Air Cargo has announced plans to significantly expand its dedicated freighter fleet. The airline will add four Boeing 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) aircraft, increasing its total 737 freighter count from five to nine. These new aircraft are being acquired through long-term lease agreements.
The four 737-800BCFs are expected to commence operations in the first half of 2027. Their primary role will be to enhance air cargo services across North America.
