A recent whitepaper, a collaboration between Transport Intelligence (Ti) and Kalé Logistics, highlights that the primary drivers for the increased adoption of Air Cargo Community Systems (ACCS) among air cargo stakeholders are the critical needs for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced supply chain visibility. The study, which surveyed ACCS users, revealed that nearly two-thirds of respondents believe the commercial and operational benefits gained from implementing these systems significantly surpass the associated setup costs.
For freight forwarders and operations managers, this trend suggests a move towards more integrated and streamlined air cargo processes. The adoption of ACCS can lead to faster customs clearance, reduced manual data entry, and better coordination across the air cargo ecosystem. This translates into quicker turnaround times for shipments, fewer errors, and potentially lower operational expenses, which can be passed on to shippers or used to improve service offerings. Enhanced visibility also means better tracking and proactive problem-solving, improving overall customer satisfaction.
