CSafe has introduced its new Silverskin RE PMC, a reusable thermal cover specifically engineered for pharmaceutical airfreight shipments requiring temperature control across multiple pallets. This innovative solution is designed to fit PMC-sized air cargo units, capable of holding either eight Euro pallets or six US pallets.
The cover is engineered to maintain two critical temperature ranges: +2°C to +8°C for refrigerated pharmaceuticals and +15°C to +25°C for controlled room temperature products. Its reusability model is a key feature, intended to minimize waste and lower disposal expenses for pharmaceutical companies, aligning with sustainability goals.
For freight forwarders and logistics professionals handling pharmaceutical cargo, this product offers enhanced reliability in temperature maintenance during air transit. The reusable nature could lead to operational efficiencies and cost savings over time by reducing the need for single-use packaging and associated disposal logistics. It also provides a standardized solution for multi-pallet shipments, simplifying handling and ensuring compliance with stringent pharma cold chain requirements.
The focus on reusability suggests a move towards more sustainable and cost-effective cold chain solutions in air cargo, which could influence procurement decisions for temperature-sensitive logistics services.
