Bencros Marine Fenders, a Slovakia-based producer of rubber fenders for maritime applications, has introduced an initiative allowing customers to claim independently verified CO₂ savings. These certified emission reductions, embedded within their fender products, can be directly transferred to the buyer's carbon footprint. The first certificates are scheduled to be issued on September 2, 2026.
This development provides a tangible benefit for freight forwarders and shippers by offering a direct contribution to their sustainability goals. By purchasing fenders from Bencros, companies can potentially reduce their reported Scope 3 emissions, which are often challenging to quantify and mitigate.
