Menzies Aviation has implemented ABOMIS's TimaCheck solution at 45 airports across 24 European countries. Since its launch, the system has conducted more than 30,000 passenger document checks. The primary function of TimaCheck is to rapidly identify invalid or incorrect travel documents, with over 9,000 such instances detected. Additionally, it has flagged more than 16,000 passengers who were eligible to travel under specific conditions, enabling frontline staff to quickly resolve complex document-related queries.
For freight forwarders and their clients, particularly those involved in air cargo where passenger flights often carry belly cargo, improved boarding efficiency can indirectly contribute to overall airport operational fluidity. Faster passenger processing reduces potential delays on the ground, which can benefit integrated cargo operations reliant on passenger aircraft schedules. While not directly impacting air cargo rates or capacity, any enhancement in airport ground handling efficiency can contribute to more reliable flight schedules, which is crucial for time-sensitive airfreight.
