For freight forwarders, this outlook suggests a continued subdued demand for the transport of building materials, fixtures, and related goods within the Netherlands. While a slight uptick in housing completions might offer some stability, the underlying constraints mean that any significant surge in freight volumes related to residential construction is unlikely. Forwarders specializing in project cargo for large-scale developments might experience delays or reduced project scopes due to these limiting factors. The consistent challenges could also lead to more localized sourcing of materials where possible, potentially impacting international freight movements.
