DOF Group, a Norwegian vessel operator, has announced new contracts for two of its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels, the Skandi Skansen and Skandi Ipanema. These multi-million dollar agreements will deploy the vessels to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) region, which includes various Caribbean member states and territories, as well as Belize in Central America, and Guyana and Suriname in northern South America.
These vessels are critical for supporting offshore energy projects, including anchor handling, towing, and supply operations for drilling rigs and other offshore installations. The new contracts underscore the ongoing demand for specialized offshore support vessels in the oil and gas sector within the Americas.
