The German Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility (BALM) has announced the inclusion of several new transport and logistics companies into its Transportorganisation des Bundes (TOB) program. During a ceremony held in Cologne, BALM President Christian Hoffmann formally presented certificates to the new participants, signifying their commitment to Germany's civil emergency preparedness efforts.
The TOB serves as a nationwide framework designed to mobilize private sector logistics resources in times of crisis, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other national emergencies.
