Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam is set to upgrade its access control systems at the ECT Delta Terminal on the Maasvlakte. From August 17, 2026, the terminal will progressively roll out facial recognition as the primary biometric identification method for truck drivers. The initial implementation will occur on lane 08, with plans to expand this technology to all six truck lanes over the course of 2026.
