Europe's abnormal transport sector is currently the subject of its first independent, academically supported economic impact study in more than a decade. This research initiative, spearheaded by the industry association ESTA in collaboration with the University of Parma, seeks to thoroughly assess and quantify the strategic importance and economic contributions of oversized cargo logistics.
The study's primary objective is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the sector's value, especially in light of the rapid structural transformations occurring throughout Europe. These changes encompass evolving infrastructure, regulatory landscapes, and economic shifts that directly influence the movement of abnormal loads.
